How will the "Gang of 14" figure into this? Is McCain itching |
|
to wield the "Gang of 14" power over the White House?
I think the message was loud and clear from McCain when the 14 of them killed the amendment to change the Senate rules.
McCain and the others were essentially saying to the White House, in that press conference they held, "Back off your radical agenda. We can stop you cold with our Gang of 14 alliance."

1. McCain is one Republican who... |
|
has been reasonable on so many issues it seems to me. Global Warming is one issue he presses (saw it on C-Span), the "nuclear option" debacle, and various other statements I've heard or read about. If anyone has anything to suggest that I'm ignorant, please let me know. I consider myself pretty far left, which means that I inherently look at the person, not the lable, and know that there are exceptions to any "rule" of society. While rare, there are some republicans who appeal to reason and logic, and think McCain is one of these.

2. He had a unique opportunity to really change the course of |
|
our history if he teamed up with Kerry in 2004.
Some people just don't hear the calling !!
