Al Sharpton is an intelligent man!
I am listening to him on C-Span talking about 9/11 and why we attacked Iraq and not "the people down the street."

This man is very smart!

1. He's very intelligent
Very witty. Extremely quick on his feet. But he is also very controversal because he got himself caught up in some controversl causes and, mostly, I think because every time something happened anywhere in this country in the black community, Sharpton showed up. Now you could say its because he cares. But most people interpret it as being a media hound.

9. I agree with that
And I'm glad he is in the primary. He brings the candidates to the left. He keeps important Issues in front of the public. I'm sure if Al had it to do over, he wouldn't have been quite so opportunistic in his youger days. Maybe he felt that was the only way a young black man could make it back then. But without that past, he would be a formidable part of the democratic leadership. He always has the best lines in tbe debates. You can't rattle him. He is funny as hell. And he tells it like it is.

15. They are right. We have to write letters, call, scream and yell!
The congress will do nothing if they don't think people care.

14. We loved him in Knoxville. Check out our Loudon Website
Loudon, TN is near Knoxville and we had a couple of tables at the Truman Day Dinner on Sept. 13th. We heard Al Sharpton and Gen. Wesley Clark speak. They were both good but Al really rocks!

Check out our pictures on our Website, you'll see a few of us on our feet applauding Al Sharpton. He had us on our feet a dozen times during his speech. And what a speaker! It's such a pleasure to hear someone who's really good at it, as opposed to * who's nearly inarticulate.

Check us out! We lead off with "babies for Clark" in the first picture.

16. he took on Charles Krauthammer's column
Krauthammer wrote that Kennedy "lost it."

Sharpton says the ones that lost it are the ones that are searching for weapons that aren't there. :-)

18. I am so glad to see more positive threads about Sharpton!!!
After seeing him speak in NYC, a couple of months ago I donated to his campaign. I just wanted to support someone who is traveling the country speaking in this manner. I think he is a great speaker and political motivator.

20. It really is a shame that at a point not too long ago
he had collected on about 200,000 for his campaign. We really do need to contribute for the service he's giving us.
