Do you believe the Roe V Wade decision is constitutional?

It is a simple question with only two responses

It is not based on new law, it is not based on a pending case

If he answers yes, the democrats have no choice but to confirm

but if he answers no, they must filibuster

They cannot take an ambiguous answer

I asked two liberal men if they were concerned about a pro-choice female being replaced by a conservative male. It took them a moment to stop and remember that women should be on the SC.

72 years. That is if you use 1848 -- the Seneca Convention -- as the starting point and 1920 as the ending point for the fight in the U.S. for women's suffrage. However, I always found this poignant: no woman activist (suffragist) who started the fight was alive when it was finally won, and no suffragist who ended the fight was alive when it began.

I guess what I was doing was dwelling on the date of the Constitution's ratification in 1788, when it was just white male property owners 21 and over who could vote. I acknowledge no mass level of suffragism was active at the time. So I was taking the tack that over 100 years elapsed between 1788 and 1920. So long and hard was the struggle...

But you have to wonder what Abigail Adams and others of her advanced mind and heart thought of the possibility at the time of the nation's founding. Guess it dared not speak its name until Seneca Falls. Still, I would like to think Abigail would approve.

It really boils down to us women. Sure, there will always be men who support us and their help is indispensible. But ultimately, we women are the ones who have to rise up and demand our rights and freedom. When we do it, some men (and sadly, women) will rail against it with anger and rancor. But when we stand our ground we prevail.

she was active in the League of Women Voters, was a dem precinct captain a few times

she died March 31, 2005 at 92

in the family plot (8 places, she was the last to be buried there) the first burial was 1906 (1 year before OK became a state), the last was hers in 2005.....the oldest birthdate in the plot is my great-grandfather, born in VA in 1842 and died in OK in 1919; the most recent is my mother's in 1913.....the 1906 death was a 6 month old baby, the reason the plot was purchased
