Did Bush's postponed physical ever take place last year?
Edited on Thu Jul-21-05 06:23 AM by MetaTrope
And has there been any sign of him shirking the physical again this year?

One physician who keeps an eye on such things has no mention of an official physical since 2001:

Addendum:
Similarly, the last press release on the subject that I can find on the White House site is dated 2001,

1. As long as they don't shine a light in his ear, he'll pass. Unfortunately
for the people on this planet.

Hell, as much as is wrong with the Dickster, does anyone see him being disqualified for high office?

Won't happen with Chimpy either.

2. He has an odd penchant for skipping physicals :)
I thought he had the physical, but I may be wrong.

Like I said, we all know he has a history of skipping physicals.

4. Prior to the election, I was demanding an independent psych exam.
I seriously think the guy has a severe neurological disorder.

5. I think they claimed to have given it
With a wink, wink, and a nod, nod. I could be wrong.
Now he needs the "Brain" investigated.

7. I couldn't find the news of the physical
But I found this about missing it in 2004.
It is kind of interesting and some snap diagnosis' are included.

clip..
But this year, according to AFP, he's decided to postpone his physical until after the election.

On its face, the explanation makes a certain amount of sense. "This has been a busier travel period for the president than the previous three years," Scott McClellan told the AFP.

But can the president really not afford one day?

And another thing occurs to me.

What was the president doing in early August this year? Right about then is when he was taking the traditional hiatus from campaigning during the Democratic convention. It seems like then of all times he had some time free.

Clip...
"I have interviewed and examined President George W. Mr. Bush and have reviewed his medical record," the doctors' statement said. "Within the scope of my specialty, I find him to be fit for duty and have every reasonable expectation that he will remain fit for duty for the duration of his presidency."
