Joe Lieberman is a sell out but he's also too liberal for Bush to even consider nominating.

3. It would have been a wonderful, conciliatory, bipartisan nomination. |
|
Which explains why * would never have even thought to do it.

And anybody who doesn't have that response is, bluntly, a fool. If Bush had nominated Lieberman for the Supreme Court??? I wouldn't even have to think about it, WOHOO!! Pro-choice, pro-environment, pro-worker's rights, good lord, what more do you want in a Supreme Court justice?

7. Look Lieberman irks me as much as anyone... but he is PRO- |
|
Choice and historically progressive on his voting record re: environment, worker rights, safety, and most of the populist causes we are all concerned about. Is he a sellout with respect to the war? Absolutely. Does he have some misguided sense that his support of Bush is somehow honorable despite the damage being done to the party and to all of us? Absolutely.
But, he is a centrist Dem with liberal tendencies on many of the issues we are most concerned about. Whew, I hope this is the last time I feel compelled to have to defend HOly Joe...I need to shower now, I think...

9. Lieberman would have been an excellent choice--for this president |
|
he would not be any different than Clinton's choices--Breyer and Ginsberg. Lieberman is strongly pro-choice, pro-gay rights and has a strong environmental record. All in all, Lieberman would have been a unexpectedly good choice had Bush made it.

I heard that Boobya is a video game freek. Probably why he didn't select one his most ardent fans.
