"Shame on Christians Who Supported This War"
a bumpersticker I saw this morning here in my red state (although a dark blue county).

Wow, it was to the point, wasn't it?

3. The late John Paul 2 was against the war (may he rest in peace)
He even refered to President Bush as the anti christ. See I strongly disagree with his stance on peoples orientation and reproductive issues but theres a good and bad in everyone.

4. JP2's criticism of Bush's War was pretty tepid
He even met with Bush. From the looks of what came out of the Catholic hierarchy during the 2004 election, I would say they were allies.

6. Unfortunately you are correct sir
I was hopping for some shot of reconcillition during the selecition of the new Pope but unfortunately they choose Benedict.
It's a shame that two wedge issues had to force me to choose between party loyality and my family faith but ah well. It's not a perfect world.
