Does Godwin's law apply to C-SPAN callers? (Or, what are

these people using for brains?)

"Washington Journal" had a segment discussing nuclear power and nuclear wastes featuring an industry flack and a representative of a group concerned with nuclear safety. A wingnut called in to say that "As for the green guy, Hitler would have loved all these greenies because Hitler hated technology."

That hatred of technology Adolf had must explain why Hitler encouraged the development of an economy car for the German people, the people's car, or Volkswagen.

Just a minute ago, another wingnut called in to complain about Bush* being "maligned" when everyone knows there were WMD in Iraq "even Bill Clinton, as dumb as he is, knew there were WMDs." The host asked her if she knew that David Kay said there were no WMD and if they were there but aren't now, where did they go? She said "How should I know? I'm not over there." Ah, but she knew they were there before the war. . .

Another wingnut told the host the Iraqis are happy now. He asked her how she knew and she told him she watched FOX.

And earlier a wingnut called in to announce that he agreed with Bush's policies, because they're BOLD AND BRAVE. A little behind the times on his talking point -- what was it, three months ago when BOLD was the big word to use in describing Bush* and his policies. The Daily Howler did some good writing on the spread of that particular meme.

So many wingnuts, so few critical thinking skills. . . A sad reality in this land.

3. Good news -- former Ambassador Joseph Wilson be on Washington

Journal on Monday. I believe they said he would be on at 7:45.

Early in the show today, the host read the NBC story of the CIA demanding an investigation of the White House.

Oh, I forgot the woman who called in to tell us that she knew Bush wasn't AWOL. After serving five years (!!!) , she said, he was excused to go to Harvard Business School. Then she wanted to ask something about Al Gore being in Viet Nam but not in combat but she had rambled on for so long that the host cut her off. He had tried earlier to get her to ask the question she'd said she had. She seemed to be annoyed that Gore wasn't in combat. . . does she think Dubya encountered any Viet Cong in Texas? Does she understand that many soldiers in combat zones are cooks and clerks and medics and photographers? Not everyone is supposed to be fighting the enemy.

4. When I listen to
those wingnut idiots on c-span I sit and laugh and laugh till I'm almost falling off the chair. I really think when brains were passed out they missed the call. Seriously though I don't think anything chimpy does would affect them. The repug party has them under such mind control I don't think they can help it. It's a real pity because they are the ones who are helping to get all of our soldiers killed in Iraq. Maybe one day they'll wake up and see the blood on thier hands.

6. The problem is, we let those idiots vote.
Washington Journal is living proof of Darwin's "Survival of the Thickest."

7. The other morning I was so outraged
by a wingnut caller, that I picked up the phone during the open phones segment intending to blast not only the chimp but the uninformed people who call in supporting him. Low and behold I got right through. I was asked whether I supported the chimp and replied "I'm very much opposed to him and his policies." I was told I would be put on tv shortly and to stay on the line. About ten seconds later they hung up on me.

I've noticed that they'll let a mindless freeper go on and on, but have few intelligent-sounding rebuttals. A lot of the "oppose" chimp callers are inarticulate or tin-foil hat wackos. It's become largely a freak-show.
