Karen Hughes confirmation hearing tomorrow
for her new "public diplomacy" post in the State Dept.

Karen Hughes might know something about Rove/Plame, don't you think?

1. She was on Air Force One at the
critical time. I'd be surprised if she didn't have some input into the leak.

20. And part of the White House Iraq Group if I recall correctly. They
"marketed" the invasion of Iraq as if it were a consumer product (which the propaganda was of course, for public consumption).

3. I don't believe anything out of her mouth.
IMHO most all that comes out of this administration is scripted and twisted and agendized (if that's even a word)...Trying my best to not call them all fucking liars...How am I doing??

during a shitstorm. Hope she brought her decontamination gear.

Have we won, or is it just a lull in the battle?

8. This seems like an odd job for a women like her
I would like to see more regular people, ones that have lived in the world with us people, on the courts etc. but to send this nut case to get thing right in the Middle East is really odd. Maybe they just have a long list at the white house and they just take the name off the top and he runs the next thing that comes along?????? All you need is to say you love George. More and more it is starting to look like a Royal system. If you know what I mean.

I doubt that she will just be catapulting the propaganda. This is a particularly nasty strain of repug.

look bad? I hope his poll numbers drop a little more once she is on board because she is so ineffective.

22. Walt -- who is on the confirming commitee? I can't find any news reports
on this; I will contact whatever Dems seem likely to ask a Plame question. Because it is relevant.

25. I think that Karen Hughes left in the summer of 2001,
so immediately after they had taken this country over, because she knew that Bush and Cheney were leaving America open to terrorist attack on purpose.

Can you imagine fighting for your entire career to get into the White House and then just leaving for no good reason, ie 'to spend time' with your family? No.

28. She left during the next summer, amidst the cover-up. She had some
problems with that.

Karen helped out during the 2004 campaign, particularly in the effort to pull W together psychologically in preparation for the debates. She's probably closer to the guy than anyone else in the world.

When she finally talks, she'll have real interesting insights into what W's notives were and what his actually role was in cooking up the various crimes committed during his presidency.
