Repubs put all their chips on the table in California... |
|
They pretend that somehow California is so different from the rest of the nation. They accept incompetence and style over substance. They believe in the power of stardom. It is a dangerous assumption.
They have thrown all their conservative candidates over the side for a two-bit, crooked-mouth Austrian son of a Nazi. They rush to get in line to endorse him because they think he will bring them political victory. After all, it is political victory that is important. It is more important than ideology or political philosophy.
They have shown themselves to be false believers in their professed conservative doctrines. They are backsliders in the faith. But they are so convinced that this will bring them victory that they are willing to sacrifice whatever is necessary to dance in the victory parade.
What happens if they are wrong? What if they lose? Where do all the big name conservatives go to reclaim their once-shiny reputations? And, although it is not admitted, the CA race goes all the way to the WH. They are assisting in the big gamble.
Step right up folks! Place your bets on Arnold. We know he is not a conservative but this is California. This is different. But is California really that different from the rest of America?
California Democrats! Wake up! This is your chance to make a statement for the rest of America. Get out and vote on October 7th. This will do more to restore faith in America than anything at the present time.

I always thought the recall was Rove's idea, he just used that a**hole Issa's money. These people are dangerous!

2. You are right. And it is insulting. |
|
This state was not stupid enough to go for W in 2000, and yet they think we will vote in a cartoon character. Unfortunately for them, it's a lot easier to get a signature outside of a supermarket than it is to get somebody down to the polls to vote for you. Besides, most of Ahnolds real supporters are not old enough to vote yet.

3. This is Florida all over again |
|
This is a Republican coup staged from the White House with David Dreier as messenger and translator. This is a coup financed by Issa's money and signatures gathered outside markets and big box stores by signers who never bothered to read what they were signing and most likely didn't vote last November.
This recall was meant to remove an elected official with impeachable offenses, not someone from the opposite party. We've seen what Republicans really want...a Republican Governor to finish out their quartet of large Republican governed states, including New York, Florida, Texas and wishfully for them, California.

4. Vote No on Recall, Yes on Bustamante |
|
If the Repugs take CA in the recall, they'll take CA in 2004. They have been practicing all their vote suppression and vote fraud techniques and the voting machines will give them the final edge.
DON'T LET IT HAPPEN.

6. It's important to vote NO first and foremost. |

Also, how many DU'ers have volunteered to work in the coming elections? I hope everyone who can work in the precincts, will, in order to keep an eye on the integrity of the election.
