If indictments are issued prior to the confirmation of Roberts, the entire confirmation process may be shut down.
Why?
Can you see the CNNMSRNCFAUX graphics now?
TREASON IN THE WHITE HOUSE
And they'll get to use funky assed ominous background music, too.
I think it could be easily pointed out that any nominee from a White House so tarnished falls under the category of "extraordinary circumstances".

I would love to see the indictments have the effect of shutting down the agenda, or parts of it at least, and render this criminal administration dead in the water.
Perjury, Obstruction of Justice, Conspiracy, Treason.
