22. Zell Miller is an animal of his own... I'll give you an example of why

Zell Miller is the only "Democrat" who literally gives his full support to the Republican party.

A few weeks ago, he went to a fundraiser to help Republicans take over the Alabama state legislature. He stated that the Democrats in the Alabama legislature were too liberal.

The leader of the dems (don't remember who he was) retorted by saying that Zell was being absolutely ridiculous. If you look at the laws that come out of the Alabama legislature, you'd see that it is anything but liberal.

The leader was absolutely right of course, not that I think that it's a good thing that the dem controlled Alabama legislature is more reactionary than some Republican controlled legislatures.

Honestly, you can't tell me that you'd actually see Joementum or even Ben Nelson go down to Alabama and say that the dems there are too liberal. Joementum and Nelson don't have a lot of party loyalty, but they aren't on the level of Zell.
