Is there a press conference today?
Scottie will not be handling it very well with all the perjury questions if there is.

1. He will probably piss down his pants leg and assume the fetal position
I posted a snippet from a Sunday article about Scotty Potty in which he was stunned about the press asserting themselves against him. Virtually shat himself last week as things turned ugly and he actually had to do something besides act in a staged press conference.

I am sure he knows who did what, and he is so bent out of shape because he just wants to blurt out to the press what is really up. Maybe they can crack the little pisher.

3. Not a chance!
McClellan is a little prevaricator from way back, he'll never crack (unless he is rendered extraordinarily). But I do enjoy the mental image of him throwing his hands up and saying "You win, here's the straight dope!"

4. I wish I had the link to that article for you
He was clearly bent out of shape. Something about the press taking a piece of flesh out of him. Very shaken. It won't happen, I know. He will leave for "family reasons" or some such nonsense. But if ever he were to turn against the administration, before they executed him on live TV, it would go down as one of the greatest moments in American history.

6. His latest line will be, "You can keep trying to try this case
here in the Press Briefing Room but we are going to let the special prosecutor do his job..." He has said that over and over again this week. That must have been on his copy of the talking points.

Snotty Scotty is in deep doo doo and he, unlike so many of the other evil co-cohorts, has to face the press and the cameras each day and lie his butt off. He has to know that Rove, Libby, Cheney, et al are throwing him to the wolves.

I keep wondering if there will be a "John Dean" moment for anyone in this administration. Will anyone finally realize they need to come clean? I'm thinking they are all too corrupt to find a thimbleful of decency or honesty among the whole bunch.

respond about an ongoing investigation......this investigation continues to be ongoing.......:silly:

I loved The Daily Show's compilation of how many times Snotty repeated the above.

8. You May Presume There Is One Every Day, Just After Noon
Edited on Fri Jul-22-05 09:18 AM by ThomWV
There is one scheduled most days, in fact every day unless there is a reason not to have one. They are normally held around 12:30 or maybe a little later, eastern time. Sometimes you can watch them live on C-Span ( www.cspan.com ) but if not you can watch them by picking up the link at the White House web site ( www.whitehouse.gov ). If the House of Represtatives is not busy they will show it live on C-Span1, if there is a vote in process they will sometimes show it live on C-Span2. If either or both of the houses are in recess it will be shown live - usually on C-Span1 rather than 2. Generally it will be reshown on either C-Span 1 or 2 later in the eveining, often around 9:00 PM Eastern and then again sometime before midnight.

If you want to watch it at the White House site be warned that the link is not put up until just a minute or two before the briefing begins - there is an announcement there but no link until the last moment. Also, it is better to watch it as a streaming video on C-Span than the White House because there tends to be less overload on the C-Span site and so you get less interruption and skipping.
