Bumper stickers and key-jobs
Back in the early Spring, I reluctantly removed my "Veteran for Kerry" bumper sticker. That left only my "Support Our Troops - BRING THEM HOME!" sticker. Feeling a need to restore the symmetry, I've been considering adding a "Bush Lied - Soldiers Died", or perhaps "Draft Young Republicans", or something else. I've hesitated because the area of PA which I live in (Lehigh Valley) has a lot of crazy Repukes. I'd be sick if some a-hole keyed my Escape over a sticker. Like most of you, I have to work hard to afford a vehicle, and I try to keep it nice. I'm not afraid of a face-to-face "discussion" (being 6'2" / 215, ex-military), but that's not how chickenhawks operate.
I was wondering if my fellow DUer's sporting anti-repuke bumper stickers have suffered vandalism presumably due to expressing your opinions? Are the incidents few and far between? Am I being paranoid? Can you suggest any other good ones?

1. I've got four
"Question Reality."
"Not fooled by the Media."
"Not fooled by the Government"
and
oh, hell, I can't remember what the last one is.

They're all rather subtle. I prefer subtlety. Freepers don't GET subtlety.

3. I only have one sicker: "War is not an energy policy."
My car egged about 2 years ago, but I can't say for certain if it was due to my political views. (You might remember, that was when the chicken-hawks were screaming how anyone who didn't support a pre-emptive war was a traitor.)

4. My car is coated in anti-Bush stickers
and I live in the red-state hell that is Nebraska. They've been on there, in varying displays, since the 2000 election cycle.

I get flipped off a lot, but nobody has ever keyed my car or otherwise disturbed it. And actually, I get quite a few smiles and happy waves as well.

Beware a President Who Says "I Feel Good" on the Eve of War

When Clinton Lied No One Died

Support Bush? ENLIST NOW!
Our soldiers in Iraq are DYING for your help!

6. Do what I do
Go to a sign company and have them cut up a square foot (or however long you need) of their magnetic sign material into strips that you can fit your bumper stickers on. Afix your stickers to them and slap the magnet on your vehicle. When you get out, pop the trunk and throw them in there.

11. excellent idea!
Thanks! I live in a red enclave of a blue state and I must admit to being a little nervous about just one or two people in my neighborhood. I've worried about having my bumper stickers staring them in the face day after day... but no more. Thank you so much!

13. I use magnetic backing for stickers too...
that way I can change my message as often as I like!

Main reason however is that altho I live in Mass, there are PLENTY of Bushbots around (I see more Bush/Cheney stickers now than I did BEFORE the election - chickensh**s!) and I don't want my car vandalized. They stickers go in the trunk when I'm parked!

12. One of our vehicles got egged too
We had (and still do) have a Kerry-Edwards sticker. AND, at the time, we had a Kerry-Edwards yard sign.

I had someone put a Bush sticker on my other car at Lowes, right next to my Kerry-Edwards sticker.
