What was Bolton's role in the Plame leak (if any) ?

What we know is that he didn't disclose his GJ testimony on the materials he put before the senate for his UN nomination.

We also percieve tantalizing potential tidbits...

The WH lied about Iraq's nuclear capacity.
1. Bolton's office of arms contol and nonproliferation would probably have been involved in the State Department's assessment of Iraq's nuclear capacity

2. Bolton doesn't get along with anyone and he only tolerates some supervisors who share his hawkish and vindictive personality.

3. Valerie Plame worked within a CIA group that tracked (or at least tried to track) the movement of nuclear materials.

4. Bolton's staff and the group Plame was in would in all likliehood have shared information, probably including the idea that Wilson would go to Niger and check out the rumors of Iraqis shopping for yellowcake.

5. As Bolton has apparently tried several times to end the careers of other government employees, he also probably would have wanted to end the career, or at least chase and throw a stapler at anyone who disagreed with any of the lies he helped construct to take us to war.
But Joe Wilson was out of the government (at least overtly).

6. Bolton probably would have been really pissed at Joe Wilson but he would have been aware of the position of Wilson's wife.

7. Bolton would probably have had knowledge, opportunity, and all the motivation his wacked out personality needed to do something like leak Plame's identity to political operatives such as Scooter and Rove.

4. Seems Pretty Clear To Me Actually!

Good summation. That's pretty much exactly how I see it. Bolton is the one ultimately responsible for the leak.

Fitz probably has this info and can follow the leak thusly: info from Top Secret intercepts containing Plame's name that Bolton requested, from Bolton to Rove/Libby/Fleischer and from there to Novak etc.

It's a matter of nailing it down further and corroborating but that seems to be the chain to me.

I bet one was Valerie Plame Wilson. And that the dossier was sent with Powell for Smirk to read on AF1, at which point telephone calls went back to the WH and the treason was in motion.
