The Reagan Legacy?
On occasion, I have to drive to the store at night to fulfill a mik requirement for my seventeen month old daughter. During those trips, I flip the radio to hear the conservative tool that gets the shit job of speaking in the evening.

Then, I heard a flash of lightning and a disembodied voice saying: "This is the Voice of Reason" and "The Legacy continues with. . . Mike Reagan."

If I am not mistaken, that legacy would be a lecherous individual, who may or may not have bordered on bigamy, and a sellout in the 1970s so that he could be a tool and get the presidency. Of course, Mike Reagan and all his guest say that Reagan was such a great president, but I think he was a great actor who could play a great president.

I wonder, if we as a group all together, called Reagan's show every night and all spoke our similiar views of this "wonderful" legacy, what would happen? I mean. . . if the tactics work for them by standing up and screaming over and over again, then it becomes truth. Well, sometimes, if we present the truth and scream it loud enough and with enough facts, maybe it'll do something or maybe I'm just hopeful.

1. He was a filthy, stupid criminal. Iran/Contra sealed his fate.
And they can name all the fucking turnpikes in America after him, and he'll always be a filthy, stupid criminal.

9. Which proves . . .
why exactly we're in the situation we're in now. Don't it? Let's at least give it the good ol' college try here and instead of winnin' one for the gipper, let's bend the gipper over even more. Wanna know the sick thing: according to a friend, all of Reago's other spawn are pretty liberal, progressive individuals, especially Ron Jr.

2. Its never been about facts
people are too lazy and stupid to appreciate facts, its about catchy phrases and framing the adversary with a catchy, but degrading title.
then the repetition starts to work.

Like Shrub, doesn't put much importance on Fact's? Or are you saying Legacies are made of fluff, because if that's the case Shrub's will be as good as Ronnie's.

5. The Reagan legacy is one of hate
Ronald Reagan taught an entire generation of young Americans to hate. To hate their political opponents. To hate those that they disagree with. To blame others for problems, and then to direct hate towards them. What an evil fuck he was. Rest in hell evil demon.

6. 'Legacy' my ass...his own father did not recognize him! B4 illness, too!
Reagan gave a speech at a college commencement.
afterwards a student came up to shake hands.
Reagan went through the standard 'congratulations, son.' bit before the guy reminded him that HE WAS REAGAN'S SON!

you could look it up.

the legacy....my ass. legacy of estrangement, maybe

I learned the word "Casuistry" during the Ray-gun years, being msm did a duty instead of doodoo, and him and Shrubs daddy were accused of it in every way.

12. Reagan was very cold to his family, friends
nobody really knew him. For all his many, many faults Reagan is an interesting man. Terrible president, quite cowardly and insensitive, but his life is interesting, put into a historical context. I have "Dutch" by Edmund Morris, which is quite a book. Although, most DUers would rather choke on a pretzel then read about Raygun, I suppose. :)

17. I hate that sentiment
These guys eliminate all the jobs possible and they say awful things about the unemployed. How about the fictitious "Welfare Queen" driving around her cadillac, etc? Lies like that are just shameful.

Bonzo is looking good. :)

18. and has anyone else heard
Michael Raygun put down Ron Jr because RON is cashing in on his father's "legacy?"

I almost threw up when I heard that line. Jr has his own set of ideas, he doesn't recyle Sr's like Mikey!
