any mention of CIA hearings on network news tonight? |
|
(or anywhere else on the tube for that matter) I think anyone who saw the hearings would agree, this was news.

I tried flipping back and forth between ABC,CBS, NBC and PBS. Didn't hear a mention..
I'll have to say, once again I am REALLY PISSED OFF, but not surprised.

14. Me too, same thing -- not a peep. |

I'm not surprised, either. After all, if it's only DEMS holding a hearing, it's totally a non-existent event, right?

there has been no shortage of talking heads 'debating' Republican talking points on the Plame case. This hearing debunked them all clearly. I really think that if some of the testimony today were used as sound-bites (& there were plenty) and treated as top 'news', the public might be notably swayed. I also think this is exactly why the networks avoided the hearings like the plague.

17. Same reason as G_j -- to see if they covered the hearing. |
|
Not to mention the fact that *some* of us don't have cable/satellite. I lived for years with no TV at all -- I'll be damned if I'm going to actually pay for 500 channels of crap!
In any case, the "big three" networks STILL have a larger audience share for their news programs than any cable news show, therefore it seems to me a worthwhile activity to monitor what kind of (mis)information is being beamed daily to my fellow citizens.
Just my opinion, of course...

Larry Johnson was so mad his voice was shaking. If I was a republican and didn't already know what was going on, seeing that hearing this afternoon would make me one pissed voter. My parents were both staunch republicans -- they've got to be spinning in their graves at how far that party has sunk.

would definitely make an impression on the public. That is precisely why there was no mention on nightly network news IMO. Oh for the good ole days when one could hear from Ken Starr every night..

Thats all i have to say. I really lost my faith in the system today. Especially since the chimp proclaims his christianity anytime he gets. So our good christian king wanted to kill a mans wife out of peer presure and or revenge. Well now he's going to know what it feels like to get hit with the jaw bone of an ass.
