2. I have taken that one, with interesting results |
|
Let me start by explaining I have prosopagnosia and am on the autistic spectrum, and I have a hard time recognizing faces and categorizing them according to society's usual divisions. Also, I have some difficulty interpreting facial expressions.
To me, most of the people in that test looked "some shade of medium brown." I scored as having no racial bias.
On a subsequent IAT dealing with preference for lighter or darker skin color, I showed a slight preference for faces with lighter skin. My explanation for this is that the light-skinned faces' features showed more contrast with their skin-tones, making expression easier to read.
A friend of mine figured out how to cheat on IAT tests, so I do have some questions about how reliable they are in revealing unconscious assumptions.
I'm fascinated by things like this.

5. I question it myself... |
|
its took how many PHDs to confuse people with a twitch test? Sounds like BS to me. Plus the questionaire at the end is a joke, I mean, I guess cynics like me "fail" these tests all the time, I'm surprised I didn't show up as inconclusive myself. Note: this is my attitude towards humanity in general, everyone's an asshole till they open their mouths, either to prove or disprove this assumption. Usually its disproven, but I would hate to be an optimist :) Did I also mention I'm sarcastic to a fault?

3. OK, I hate these tests to begin with, but... |
|
I do have an automatic preference for black compared to white, probably pretty odd for a white guy.

8. err...I might be slightly biased at the moment... |
|
I sort of falling for a girl that is not white, then again, I don't think too much about my feelings when it comes to ladies in general, but, as far as I can tell I don't have a preference for certain races or ethnicities.
