2. I read in that piece

that his wife at one time attended mass several times a week. I'm a Catholic and I know people who attend that often. These are not moderate Catholics....these are the Pope Catholics...Catholics that follow Catholic doctrine to the letter.

In fact, I think that the primary reason he is being put on the court is to insure that abortion rights are restricted. I am convinced that this will include closely related movements to try to reduce sex education in public schools, as well as to cut back in the availability of birth control for teens. It is not so much that Roe v Wade will be over-turnedin a single case, but rather than the concept of sexual choice will be attacked in a thousand smaller ways.
