We are the good guys so we can be as evil as we like

They are the Bad Guys, so they aren't ALLOWED to do bad things.

Because we are better than them and have the basic right to stay alive, we are allowed to kill them when they shoot at us. They aren't ALLOWED to shoot back at us, because they are BAD.

They shoot at us because they are strange, alien weird people who do things differently from us. Therefore, when they shoot at us it is because they are motivated by strange, bad things in their heads that are bad. When we shoot at them it is to protect ourselves because we want to stay alive. We want to carry on living our lives as we choose, as is our right. Why can't they understand this?

When we kill them, it is because they are trying to kill us! Why can't they see this? Why do they constantly pretend to understand us and call us evil names? Surely THEY want to stay alive. Why do they keep making up strange reasons for us shooting at them? They must be very bad people.

So, if they are very bad, they aren't ALLOWED to shoot us. It's NOT FAIR. Only GOOD people are allowed to shoot other people.

Of course we're going to shoot back at them if they shoot at us! We want to stay alive! Why are they shooting at us? There is only one explanation.

They must be VERY, VERY BAD.

6. Ah, the gross failure

of the American educational system. We were all suckled on the teat of American exceptionalism. It's a grotesque distortion of truth and the chickens are now coming home to roost. NO, dear ones, "we" are not the "good guys" in any way, shape or form. The principles in the enlightened document we call our Constitution are guidelines for a sustainable society and spiritual growth, but those who they were meant to protect have repudiated them...
