Who do you think Shurb would pick to replace him?

My guess would be Condi.

He wasn't born in the United States.

6. Colin Powell would be our first ethnic president
many of you know that my husband is not one of us - would be if he lived on the east coast instead of the sticks of Nevada - beside the point. He heard on some radio station right after the "selection" that some psychic said that * would not finish his term and that something would "happen" to Chenney and in the course of events, Powell would be president. I said - "from your lips......". He sure would be a helluva lot better than Hastert.

17. He didn't say he didn't want to be President
He said he didn't want to run for President, it's a small but important difference.

7. You guys are insufficiently paranoid!
When, not if, Cheney resigns(ticker), the VP will be Poppy.

Once he is confirmed, * will resign.

Then Poppy can run in 04. Restoration!

* can go back to Crawford.

8. Bill Frist -- he's been moved up the ladder, and is totally in bed with...
the healthcare industry. Cheney's "disposable" -- it's his PNAC-ey brain that the RW cares about. Hell, we never see him, anyway.

I always figured that, if the Democrats began mounting a serious threat as the 2004 campaign unfolds, Cheney would be dumped from the ticket to make way for a new face.

The Rethugs aren't just thinking about 2004, they want 2008 in the bag, too. And what better time to roll out their new "product" than 2004, and have it in place?

God, I am so sick of these assholes.

10. Hell, no!!! My guess is Giuliani or Frist....
He wouldn't pick Condi because I believe the average freeper couldn't bring themselves to vote for a black woman even if she was on THEIR side of the fence....

11. Condi
She would totally change the dynamics of the election and she has proven herself to be loyal. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me to find out it's actually their plan. Although the need for a scandal is beyond me, unless to prove they're the "honorable" party.

Mr. Stuffed Flight Suit would never pick a woman. My guess is that he'd push Brother Jebbie to the head of the line.

16. If Cheney goes Condi will too
Once Cheney goes (health reasons)the repugs will bring some one totally clean from outside of the admin, because if it goes high enough to take out Cheney it will take them all out. This person who I will call Ford 2.0 will not be among the more powerfull repugs because they will all be busy preping for 04 by attacking the admin so that it will look like a ChimpCo thing and not a whole repug party thing.

20. Ford 2.0 = George Nethercut
"Squeeky clean" conservative who's low on the leadership ladder, and from a "swing state" that the Republicans think they can win.

18. in the unlikely event
... that cheney resigns, i'd guess dan quayle as the replacement. after all, dim son has tapped many of his dad's picks for his own misministration. and chimpy could use the added "impeachment insurance" too.
