1. I don't believe I've ever heard anyone say we are not at war
or am I misunderstanding the context of your post?

4. you are so right. we are not at war. war is the name through which bush
manipulates his INVASION AND OCCUPATION OF IRAQ. We are in the midst of an OCCUPATION AND OCCUPATION OF A FOREIGN COUNTRY WHICH DID NOTHING TO US BUT WHICH IS RICH IN OIL.

5. Sure we are at war

As long as you do not subscribe to the antiquated notions of having to formally declare war on another soverign nation.

First off even with nations we have not declared war on anybody since 1941 and we have been at war many times since

Next off in this age its no longer just nations that can wage war. Worldwide movements, or organizations can also wage war across many countries.

So if you are being techincal in the geneva convention sense, no we are not at war. But who follows those precepts from another era in this day and age?
