Good on you JohnKleeb - I'm sure Kucinich thanks you too! :)
:hi: JohnKleeb,

I found you story on www.kucinich.us today! Did you know it was posted there? I am glad it was not lost like you'd thought!

<Inspired by Paul Wellstone's death, 16-year-old Alex Cutler is pouring himself into a 2004 presidential campaign

Alex Cutler lives in a large white house featuring a prominent rose garden. Some might consider that common stuff for a Tangletown kid; others might think it's a sign of things to come for this 16-year-old, who's one of the first Minnesotans to join the Dennis Kucinich presidential campaign.

Looking more than a little like Harry Potter, he leans back in the chair at the desk in his bedroom and looks around, apparently oblivious to the carnage around him. Discarded clothes lie next to a copy of Wired magazine, partially covered by a half-devoured box of Triscuits, which is more or less next to an empty Coke can, The Matrix DVD, a computer printer, headphones, a book on HTML and a placard that shouts "Support the Troops! Bring Them Home!"

"George Bush made a big mistake by going to war in Iraq," Cutler said in a voice surprisingly deep for someone who seems mostly made out of long, slender legs and arms. "I organized a walkout at my school and something like two dozen kids walked out with me. And this was at a private, conservative Catholic school." >

<Cutler has been volunteering over 20 hours a week on the campaign, maintaining the minnesotaforkucinich.com Web site that he built, as well as compiling e-mail lists, and working on the committee that organized Kucinich's Aug. 16 appearance at St. Paul's Central High School. He also puts in time on the networking committee, which includes outreach activities designed to pull in labor and outstate support for the mop-haired liberal congressman. >

Congrats on the great exposure for DK and also, thanks for doing all of this volunteer work! I am sure I'm not the only one that appreciates it! :D

15. JohnKleeb .... ?
Do you know who on the DU posted this story a couple of weeks ago? I thought it was you. My apologies if I was mistaken. I know I saw it posted somewhere around here and the story went *poof* not long afterwards as the link had changed.

If you happen to know who this is please advise!

Thanks!

twilight

or maybe my perception is bad mistaking me for Alex, hes done much more than I have. I am a foot soldier, hes a leader but I am important too I guess, I guess I have a minor complex or a humble thing.

11. JohnKleeb -
you are my choice for DUer of the year, if there was such an award.

your courageous, consistant, gracious, good-humored, and intelligent support for DK stands in stark contrast to the rabid reactionary attack-dog tactics of some supporters of other candidates. all DUers, including me, could take a lesson or two from you.

you exhibit a wisdom and understanding beyond your years. i also enjoy your postings in other forum, since it seems there is no subject that escapes your intrest.

you, and the other teen-age DUers, constantly impress this cynical ol' fart with your astute observations, sense of humor...and socialistic poliitcal leanings! :). there is hope for our future.

DK would be proud that you are in his corner.

19. You all are too kind
I am just a foot soldier in the fight against Bush. I am not grade smart as my other DUers my age nor am I in any AP classes like them. I am involved with politics not because I am trying to be smart I do it because I want my future that is our future in good hands. I thank you much for your compliments, but I think you give me too much credit. I can get as angry as any of you, I dont show it, well its more in the form of sadness and wondering. I think Remarque said it best and this is what I mean when I have said theres been many wars in my life, "I am 20 years old yet I know nothing of life but death and an abyss of sorrow" thats from All Quiet on the Western Front. I really appreciate these comments.

Heyyyy guys!

Well once again John Klebb is shamelessly trying to steal my publicity! : P (kidding)

Thanks a lot for the post though. At one point John posted an amazing threat congratulating me on the article so that is where some of you might have gotten confused.

Let me tell you guys though... School and a campaign is un do able!

And John: I got AP history and thats about it... I'm crappie in school too! : ) but Dennis told me that he "thought he knew everything when he was a Junior in High School and wanted to quit too". Then he told me to stay the coarse so I am!

I gave Dennis a copy of the article and he signed a copy for me. Plopped right down in a chair in a crowded house party with everyone wanting to talk to him, and read my article! : ) How cool is that!?

26. I have a small Wellstone connection
Cherry I told you about my uncle and Arlington. If my uncle hadnt gone to Catholic school, Bishop Dennis(heh) O'Connell in Arlington he would had gone to Yorktown high and yes been a classmate of Paul Wellstone. The bus lives on :). Isnt it interesting that in the early 60's three of my biggest heroes lived within a 10 mile radius, that is RFK, Wellstone, and my dad and his family.

25. hi Alex whats up
Its Kleeb, I am a Kraut Celtic Slav the latter two makes me just like Dennis. Does he like history and English? Those are my faves and philosophy. You have another thing in common with him, he went to Catholic school I think. Yeah it was that thread. LOL what do you guys think JohnKleeb is a pysedoum? lol, sorry this happened to you man, you deserve the credit. I am just a footsoldier in the Progressive Army :), Pfc John H Kleeb reporting for duty :) lol. I am just humble about my school life. I cant believe they thought I was you. We dont look much alike actually but that doesnt matter for our motives our the same, to elect Dennis Kucinich and achieve what America should be. :hi: sorry again about this this is too weird.
I am JOHN HOWARD KLEEB OF HERNDON VIRGINIA and a nutcase :)
