White heterosexual men are encouraged to play the victim card. Karl Rove and the Christo-fascists are literally breeding a race of white "heartland" Christians who are indoctrinated to feel victimized by the government. Threatened by women, gays, foreigners, Islam, Communism, excuse du jour. This is what we're really up against.

4. A Dr. Bob Minor at KU (!) a few years back wrote on the Victim Role

I heard him speak at more than one LGBT event about this. He argued that it is a reactive role to take. He encouraged the LGBT community to avoid the vicitm role altogether. Instead, we should all be PROACTIVE. That is a much harder road to hoe, tho.
