If you think chemical
Pollutants do not effect us, influence our mental health(1 in 4 people have had a mental illness now bad enough to seek help),our ability to cope and solve problems, crime rates, addictions, and our ability deal with stress and live healthy lives or even be at a decent body weight(fat may be linked to Inflammation due to toxins in the body, maybe one reason why diets don't work)..
All the chemical companies are guilty of slowly poisoning us polluting our environment, reducing our quality of life making us sick for profit. And now it begins before Birth..Bush is not pro life.Never was.

http://www.jci.org/cgi/content/abstract/112/12/1821

Think again

"If ever we had proof that our nation's pollution laws aren't working, it's reading the list of industrial chemicals in the bodies of babies who have not yet lived outside the womb," Slaughter, a Democrat, said.

Cord blood reflects what the mother passes to the baby through the placenta.

"Of the 287 chemicals we detected in umbilical cord blood, we know that 180 cause cancer in humans or animals, 217 are toxic to the brain and nervous system, and 208 cause birth defects or abnormal development in animal tests," the report said.

Scary Scary Scary

Wonder where I can get my breastmilk tested?

But hey now I can say, "I'm not fat, I'm just inflamed!"
(Humor sometimes helps me cope)

Yeah, we're screwed.

4. Living longer and healthier my ass
Living longer and hurting more and paying more and working longerand saying nothing about how you feel because you gotta keep going or else.

our quality of life sucks.

Keepinfg a body alive is not the samne thing as living.

We got more cancer cases and cancer survivors with body parts missing..we got lead poisoning ,autism rates through the roof..,diseases, allergies, you have a higher risk of foodborne illness now.How many times a year do you get sick from food? We live longer, but we can't eat peanuts lest we die, can't go outside lest we get a sinus headache from pollen our bodies shouldn't be so sensitive to,we can't eat a rare steak or dare eat a raw or undercooked egg.More transgender people are around than ever before and we got hormone disruptors mutating frog gonads how long until we start mutating..how high does the concentrations got to get ? We got girls starting periods at age 8!!..It's not due to a healthy diet this change in us..

Everythings contaminated including US.

9. Denial isn't a river in egypt
YOU might feel good, and can handle the idea of all these untested chemicals in your ainr water ect.but some people are feeling it. I feel crappy alot and the air quality where I live is like the third worst air quality in the US..
So many people I know are sick, got cancer or some other problem that's tormenting them..It's really sad.

16. Hah
And you assume because ancient people had no technology they died young..They did in ROME and civilized times,In roman times civilization had just begun to change the environment. There is evidence of pollution wherever there is"civilization"
Alot of people died in the roman times for wars infanticide and abuses..
I guess you are not counting them in comparison to illness deaths.

Howe many romans had diabetes or cancer or heart disease?

How many cases of heart disease were there 100 years ago,or 50 years ago compared to now?

Why do we have an obesity epidemic now..could it be the pollution from industrial age and the chemical industry has saturated our environment to help create all these new big health problems..Maybe a certain level of toxicity had to be reached in the environment to see the results of the poisoning emerge in large scale..How much more toxic does it have to get before you consider it's not a scare tactic ?

I guess you think global warming is bullshit too.
And that nuclear waste is good .

But there is some evidence that contradicts your assumptions that primitive equals short life, in tribal /hunter gatherer times before we lived in unsanitary crowded cities drinking water with waste in it..

8. Sorry but that is incorrect
It is likely that such a conclusion is based upon observing the older generation. The generation born post WWII has been subjected to a chemical revolution that currently boasts 70,000 unadequately tested chemicals being dumped into the air, water and soil of this planet. It is having an effect on fetal development and overall health of the population.

Do you realize that a doctor in his 50's was taught that diabetes was a rare illness? Now it is epidemic, in children too. Rates of autoimmune illnesses are increasing too.
If we were graded on children's health and development - we would fail! Kids are plagued with asthma, allergies, increasing cancer rates and mental deficits.

The model we should probably be looking at for HEALTHY life expectancy are the plants and animals: Extinctions and impaired immune systems resulting in chronic illness and early death.

Time to wake up and smell the coffee.

13. Its because you are a well-to-do canadian
Were you a poor american in an inner city slum, you'd be less flippant.

Its easy to sit around in your posh free-medical world, and look down
on your southern neighbor. Next time you move next to an american
chemical plant, let us know, to see if you'd be your life on your
words.

21. Thats the problem
My vote has never ever ever been counted. I'm in a perpetual minority
, as much as a woman being raped by 2 men is in a democratic minority.
And i'm in the worst position. I am the abused citizen, abused by
evil criminals, and i am blamed for voting for those filthy dirtbags.

I'm charged with paying a lifetime of taxes, threatened with prisons that
i'm to pay for by my cannabis smoking religion, and doing customer
relations with foreign nationals who are angry with the 2 rapists.
