David Holloway letter: Karl Rove might be guilty of treason

http://www.in-forum.com/articles/index.cfm?id=98371§ion=Opinion

Assuming that Karl Rove was indeed responsible for the leak, which the investigators will determine, his was not only an illegal act; it was an act of treason. Former President George H.W. Bush calls people who do such things "the most insidious of traitors," for whom he has "nothing but contempt and anger" (April, 1999). President Bush should make good on his word: he should revoke Rove's security clearances, fire him, and see that he is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. But if the White House statement of July 12 that Rove "has the confidence of the president" is any indication, that won't happen.

7. Wow. That movie has brought us full circle with a name that should have
faded away for good -- The General Lee.

Crazy days.

3. Rove will come down with some health problem, thus justifying
the pre-emptive pardon.

:wtf: I thought this guy was supposed to be smart.

Excuswe #1: "I didn't say her name." Oh, that's f'ing brilllant.

Excuse #2: "Well, I did say a name, Wilson, but that's not her CIA secret agentn name, so, yeah, I didn't say her name."

What will Excuse #3 be, "Folks I've got ... <insert semi-fatal illness here> ... and I'm afraid prison would be real bad for me, help be Georgie."

AMF Karl

use the Casey solution... didn't you know he had a bad heart and should not go kayaking down teh potomac? That was his new hobby you see.

Am I cynical or what?

But dead mem don't talk... and Scooter may also develop a sudden liking to Kayaks or small planes too

11. "Accidents" in the full glare of the media are not likely to happen.
Too risky. But, "suicides" are another thing.

12. Blame it on the dead guy. It worked in Iran Contra. So, who gets whacked?
It worked in Iran Contra.

Rove--Nah, Bush needs him too much.

Cheney--This would be a good one--Bush can say he was duped along with the rest of of us but if Cheney's really the evil genius behind all of this as many of us assume he is, I doubt if he'll volunteer to go kayaking. Bet he guards his medications really well too. On the other hand Bush might be getting worried that Dirty Dick may be bringing his administration down. The man has a heart condition, hmmm.

Libby--Hmmm Kind of a fade in the background sort of guy. Just the type to pin it on. "We were so decieved."

Tenet--They blamed the lousy Iraq Intelligence on good old "Slam Dunk", why not this? Besides, if as some of us suspect, he's been ratting on the rest of them, a tragic accident could take care of two problems. Stay out of small airplanes George!

Powell--He had the memo and fits Novaks description of someone who wasn't a "partisan gunslinger". Bet they'd give him a great funeral before they tore his reputation to shreds.

16. Of course he won't
He'll lose his brain. Then it'll be all down hill from there. I wonder if Karl Rove is fired and jailed if we can get the truth out of the 2004 election. We all know John Kerry really won.
