What did Bush Know and When?

For starters, did Bush know in the fall of 2003, when he was telling the public that no one wanted to get to the bottom of the case more than he did, that Rove, his longtime strategist, senior adviser and alter ego; and Lewis Libby Jr., Vice President Dick Cheney's chief of staff, had touched on the CIA officer's identity in conversations with journalists before the officer's name became public? If not, when did they tell him, and what would the delay say in particular about his relationship with Rove, whose career and Bush's have been intertwined for decades?

1. * knew it all...

.. there is no doubt in my mind. It sounds to me like the memo was just passed around on Air Fore One during that trip to Africa. I think it was all planned and * was in on it. If it was passed around freely, perhaps this was on purpose, in hopes that those not aware of Plame's status could inadvertently leak the name not fully understanding that she was covert. If that is what happened then it was very sneaky, and all of those of authority with normal access to classified information would then be guilty.

5. I'm not so sure if Wilson was the mark....

Lets just suppose for a minute that Wilson's wife did suggest that the CIA send here husband to Niger.

Valerie was a under cover CIA operative. Maybe she finds out that someone in the CIA or WH is fixing intelligence to support WMD's. It would be difficult for her to go to the press because it would blow here cover, and she does not know who within in the CIA she can trust.

But if here husband went to Niger, he could then release the mess to the press without his wife having to be involved.

It could very well be that Valerie planned this all along in order to expose their dirty tricks of intelligence fixing. It would look real bad now if something were to happen to Valerie, considering all the media attention.

So if everything is like I have theorized, the administration was infuriated about what she did. They could have leaked her name to get back at her, not to get back at her husband necessarily. By leaking her name and blowing her cover, she will probably never be able to be a covert CIA agent again.

this is a very interesting theory and it could be true. I have no doubt she knew more than what is being said in the media. I hope one day we will know all of the truth.
