Anyone who thinks that Gonzales did not notify Bush, Rove, Cheney, ...
... Libby, as well as Card, and probably others (especially on his own staff) within the first 10 min of receiving that call from Justice needs to think again, harder.

I never post one-liners, but, this total bushit from Gonzales requires nothing more except to share with all of you what I was doing when I read the -- 'waited until the morning ... every one had gone home'

Peace.

www.missionnotaccomplished.us - How ever long it takes, the day must come when tens of millions of caring individuals peacefully but persistently defy the dictator, deny the corporatists their cash flow, and halt the evil being done in Iraq and in all the other places the Bu$h neoconster regime is destroying civilization and the environment in the name of "America."

1. Of course it's bull. But these guys are thug liars, not intelligent ones.
And Gonzales has to make his story conform to the ones they've already told. Sort of. Him telling about notifying Andrew Card has me seriously puzzled.

2. And, according to Frank Rich, Gonzales waited 12 HOURS
before notifying anyone. Yeah, right.:eyes:

3. It is kind of nuts
I wonder if it's popping out now, in part, because Gonzeles didn't get the nod for the Supreme Court?

5. Well that's what he told Wolfie
So it must be true. Wolfie's such a probing reporter he'd never let a statement like that get by without confronting it.

6. How Could Card, As Chief Of Staff, Not Notify Bush Immediately?
Jesus Christ, if an investigation of your boss was going to open up in the morning and you were second in command to the Boss what would your job have been worth the next morning if you hadn't immediately notified him?

9. Anyone who has worked in an office with a chain of command would
know that this is beyond comprehension. So now what do we do? This administration LIES and "we" (here) all know it... So now what? I'm not sure what we do next when the press is what we need to get this fact spread out widely...We can write LTEs and then what? I'm particularly thinking of a brother-in-law that needs "proof" before he believes me.

We know the truth, but now...what should we do next???? My statement, and my showing him this thread isn't enough. I need another source or the PRESS to pick up this story. Right now, my family laughs at me because they think I'm wacko. I want something substantial that I can use as proof.

21. samdogmom, we wait and watch. I wish I could view
this as a really awful movie knowing what the punchline leads to, this is beyond all that. I take comfort in the fact that there are many people on DU trying to get the word out and aware of the truth.
You will get your source and more, from DU and the media and the CIA and the grand jury before it is over. And I have a few people, including 2 brothers, who I would like to hear an apology from.

12. So far, they have been screwing up due to their attempts to cover up.
Shredding documents at the eleventh hour will sink them all, not save them. :)

14. He waited 12 hours?
Why?

I do believe that no one would wake up Shrub, even in a Natl Emergency. What good would that do? Shrub is not in charge of anything. Cheney is the Pres and Rove is 2nd in command. Shrub is a sock puppet that delivers what they tell him to.

15. Time magazine
is comparing it to the gap in the Nixon tape. It is 12 hours that Fitzgerald has taken an interest in.

13. Truly wonder what subpoenas the WH has that we know not.
That may have been a pre-cursor "drip" because HD's, phone records and other evidence may already be on the record. The AG also has an inherent conflict of interest as did his predecessor.

These people tell wholes lies capriciously and tell the truth in small tiny doses over long periods of time.
