Hitler's Germany-- No explanation necessary for this one, I take it

Cromwell's England-- Oliver Cromwell turned England into an intolerant Puritan theocracy in the 1650s

Pinochet's Chile-- Augusto Pinochet assassinated the elected president Salvador Allende in 1973, then proceeded to disappear enemies and dissidents in his own little Reign of Terror

Khomeini's Iran -- The Ayatollah Khomeini turned Iran into an intolerant Islamic fundamentalist theocracy in 1979

Torquemada's Spain-- Torquemada was in charge of getting the Spanish Inquisition into gear. The Inquisition would last more than 300 years.

Here's a nice little biography of the bastard:
http://www.rotten.com/library/bio/religion/torquemada/

Peron's Argentina-- Juan Peron was a dictator of Argentina who helped turn his country into a basket case

Mussolini's Italy, without the punctual trains-- It is said that Italians put up with Mussolini because he at least "made the trains run on time".

What else? Saudi Arabia-- Probably the most intolerant theocracy on the planet today.

7. Other
Caligula's Rome

Bat shit crazy insane leader who took control of the world's only superpower of the time & led it to the brink of destruction.

Or Sulla's Rome
Massacred 8000 prisoners of war (or enemy combatants as he no doubt called them). Rewarded friends with estates and titles taken from murdered senators. Nice guy.

There's a whole host of crazy world leaders to choose from, take a look at Dictator Cards for inspiration (* already has apparently).

10. Guatemala = oligarchs and campesinos
A tiny group of hyper-rich rulers and pullulating masses of peasants; NO middle-class at all. The great middle-class of the USA is killing itself off at an accelerating pace. Well, maybe if they're (we're?) that stupid, it's deserved.

;(

and out of size that it dominates world economies and skews things to its needs.

Saudi Arabia encouraged and funded strict Islamism. Creating & encouraging tribalism so Saudi's didn't have to deal with a democracy movement went well didn't it?
