If you think Sen. Roberts let Rove cook the Senate Intel report, sign here
Edited on Mon Jul-25-05 03:04 PM by blm
I spoke to one of our favorite REAL reporters in DC earlier - I will not mention his name, because of the freep hasslers - just know that he's one of the few investigative reporters respected here for some time now.

We know that the WH cooked the intel books on Iraq.

We know that Rove editted the head of the CIA's report on Wilson.

Why shouldn't we assume that Rove cooked the report on Wilson that Sen. Roberts ADDED to the Senate Intel Report on Iraq even though only two other Republican senators (Hatch and Blount) signed on to Roberts' Wilson addendum? The addendum that every Republican spinner is using to attack Wilson's credibility.

He agreed that the question hasn't been asked and will look into it further.

I told him to check this forum to see that there are a number of folks here who want Roberts' report examined more closely by the press. AND we'd like to see Fitzgerald call Roberts in to testify UNDER OATH how he came to the conclusion that Wilson lied and why he decided to add it without even a majority within the committee willing to sign on to that addendum.

We spoke about more, but, that's all I can comfortably say for now.

1. While he's askin',
see if he can get a date for Phase II of the Senate's 911 investigation -- you know, the 'Use of Intelligence' part!

7. BLM, For Some Reason Roberts Is Infuriating Me. First He Kills The 9/11
investigation into the Bush Admin's that was supposed to happen after the election, then the Plame smear as an added 'bonus' and now he's trying to redefine what the CIA's meaning of 'cover' is.

Roberts is really, really not worthy of the US Senate.

9. He's not, and that's why BushInc has him in place - as their coverup man.
Use your anger. He really is key to the cover up. All the Rethugs are using his report to attack and discredit Wilson as a liar.

Completely unfair to Wilson, his wife, and the citizens of this country.

17. Yes
anything that adds clarity.

Every time I hear a show where the spin is used regarding Wilson being discredited by the Senate report I write to the show. It is their duty to point out it was not the report, it was just in additional comments by 3 of 18 senators. Even if they don't want to point out the errors abounding in that additional comments part they owe the public to at least point out who wrote it.
I can't believe they don't already do it every time. Are they such entertainers instead of journalists that they don't even know?

but I'd rather see a change in their behavior. But I haven't seen that either.

It doesn't make sense. Stating the fact would not be partisan, opinion or taking sides, it would just be stating a fact.

But I have to write, whatever good it does. Can't have my head explode.Too messy.

of course they knew that when they planted this garbage. Too bad they don't use their minds to improve intelligence as contrasted to REMOVE intelligence. These are very bad people and they will escape completely but I sure hope not. Is it my imagination or are they all starting to look like ...

should DEFINITELY be investigated!

I would not be surprised at all that Rove had a hand in the Robert's Addendum...

Please, this is a case of treason! People involved in this administration have betrayed the American people. The Wilsons deserve justice!

26. I don't think it can be emphasized enough. Roberts won't LET any truth be
told that implicates Bush and his White House. Not on 9-11, Iraq war, or the CIA leak. He allows the Senate Intel committee to be used as PART OF THE COVERUP.

this is consistent behavior especially the last three years, but since governor of texas. it isnt a hard one. it isnt hard to see. it is the same old letting the bushco getting away with it once again. no one hold bushco accountable. allowing them to go further, and further in corruption and dishonesty. we never call them on their lies.

gore was labeled the liar. even with a liar watcher and gores three exaggerations to bush's 11 out right lies, gore was still called the liar and bush the honest christian straight shooter.

media is a joke

investigation of how he added that addendum into his report, so he can turn around and charge Fitzgerald as seeking petty revenge on him.

You have to see every evil angle with this crew of thugs and liars.

Of course it should.]

And it should be corrected immediately, and all copies rounded up at HIS expense and new one printed.

And he should be forced to resign - followed by a lengty prison term as an example.

But hey, that is soooo "pre-911" thinking.
