I have been adding to this list, and posting it occasionally. I was uncertain how to frame the latest outrage committed by the Republican Party. I am unable to find an incidence in Stalin's Russia , Hitler's Germany, or Mao's China where the Party heads DEMANDED that their puppets commit TREASON in order to protect the Party. Usually they just scapegoated some minor official, and then executed the poor bastard. If you can think of an occasion The State Party endorsed TREASON above State Security, please post to this thread. I believe that the Republican Party has surpassed even Stalin's Russia or Hitler's Germany in this respect.
The Republicans have been In Charge of America for 5 years. Are we beginning to look like Stalin's Soviet Union?
*Demanding Party Loyalty above National Security
*Whitewashes and Cover Ups masquerading as Governmental Investigations
*Secret Prisons where people are "disappeared"
*Dismantling of Individual Protections from Government
*Torture as a National Policy
*Police State Powers Increasing
*One Party Government (No Effective Opposition Party)
*Absurd (OBSCENE) and expanding Military Budgets
*Dismantling of Humanitarian Programs to pay for Military
*Restricting access to information about government
*Restricting access to information contradicting Republican Party ideals (birth control).
*Rewriting (forging) scientific data to support Republican Party ideals
*State Owned Media
*Persecution of Dissent
*HyperNationalism masquerading as Patriotism
*Emerging SMALL Class of POWERFUL ELITES
*Bogus and unverifiable elections
*Private Police and Security Forces not accountable to the Public.
*Republican Party Secret Police to screen at Bush* appearances
*NO Civilian Control and Oversight of Military
*Highest percentage imprisoned in Western World
*Potemkin Villages for the Press and Red Cross (Iraq and Guantanamo)
*Rampant Historical Revisionism
*Privileges and Access for Republican Party Members Only
*Ruling by Executive Order
*Judiciary controlled by Executive Branch
*Legislative Organs controlled by Executive Branch
*Power Consolidated and Concentrated in One Person
*Government Officials WARNING to be careful what we say
*Controlled and Scripted PUBLIC appearances of Republican Party Officials
*Government encouraging citizens to spy on each other
*Secret files on law abiding citizens
*Manufactured phony State Heroes (Tillman, Lynch)
*State Medals awarded by Cronyism and Republican Party Loyalty, not merit
*Governmental business cloaked I secrecy.
*Government “contracts” awarded in secret to Party Members and Cronies
*Odor of Arrogance and Contempt from Republican Party Officials
I am NOT EQUATING the USA today with Stalinist Russia or other One Party Totalitarian States. I AM saying we are moving in that direction.
Feel free to add to the list or dispute my claims.

is our country is being run unapologetically by what amounts to the Bush CIA.
Just like the CIA is able to do what it wants outside of the law - Bush* figures he has the same "rights".
This occurred to me when the former CIA people were talking about how they operate in other countries. They aren't bound by what is legal. Bush* also refuses to be accountable. Since no one is able to hold him accountable - we are getting close.

I also don't believe that bush* is the actual POWER,; he is the puppet. You are correct about the junta. Most juntas do have a figurehead.
Maybe:
"Power Consolidated and Concentrated in a Figurehead."
Though in Hitler's Germany and Stalin's Soviet Union, they WERE the POWER. Bush* is NO Hitler or Stalin.

10. 30 + years ago I heard the claim the Republican Party goal is one party. |
|
I doubted this until recently. The person(s) who told me this were not novices or radicals at a Jackson day event. One person equated the Republican Party to the Communist Party "ruling elite". He made many of the same points you noted.
2006 will be the test.
