I don't think Americans are quite Terrified enough yet.
know what i mean? i think we are in a lingering state of paranoia, not terror. so we all need to be 'persuaded' a bit more.

how's your psyche these days? are you in a general malaise? in a snit? scared a bit, but not really all that concerned personally? i think it's time for another attitude adjustment for we the people. and i think it's coming soon.

12. yup, the regular distractions arent working as well as BushCo needs...
Edited on Tue Jul-26-05 08:13 AM by Lerkfish
they're going to have to go "nukular"
one of two following ways:

1. use smaller strategic nukes on Iran
2. MIHOP an attack on our soil and blame Iran.

If its number two, the ways you'll know Bushco made some city a sacrificial lamb to their hegemony:

A. It will be a relatively smaller city than LA or NYC...probably the size of Indianapolis or Tucson. They'll want to scare us into martial law, not get bogged down in a massive FEMA operation.
B. They will miraculously declare the identities of the perpetrators, not as individuals, but as a COUNTRY they can invade, which will be Iran, most likely. Or, they'll attribute it to Al Queda but then directly link with no evidence Al Queda to Iran. This will happen with 36 hours, probably within 18 hours. That's how you'll know its MIHOP or LIHOP, since a nuke attack would destroy most traceable evidence, unless you know about it ahead of time.
ALSO, if Al Queda declares responisbility, it will be a heretofore unheard of sect of AQ, with the message delivered in an untraceable way.
C. Martial law will be declared within one week of the attack. First, the surrounding area, then the entire state. That will be in force for an amazingly short amount of time before we start hearing about multiple "prevented" attacks, where the suspects will held without counsel so they can't refute the allegations, never to be heard from again. This will justify applying martial law nationwide, in a more limited fashion, which will then creep up in intensity. The primary function of martial law will be (surprise) clamping down on "non-loyalists" and quelling protests. Real citizens will have restricted travel. Very few provable "terrorists" will be caught, percentage wise relative to how many "anti-regime" US citizens will be arrested.
D. Remember the little thing they passed a while back that said that even a small group of congress critters can decide everything in case of a "emergency" or attack? Look for this to happen right after the attack. Look for the small group to be all republican. Look for the the reason they can meet and no one else because they are already in chamber during the attack, but the rest of congress is on recess and can't travel due to air travel being clamped down.

so....I would say be concerned during a recess, that is most likely when #2 would occur.

2. If it does happen, IMHO it will be political suicide for Bu*hco.
I think there's enough suspicion out there now that will put another attack under the microscope right away. Yeah, there's still that certain group that will say they're with chimpy till the end, but it seems there's fewer and fewer as each month goes by.

For what it's worth, that's my opinion.

3. I think we should all go out
and rent the movie "The Day After." I saw it a few nights ago on old movie week. It brought back the horror if nucluar war was still a real viable option. I think it's probably a closer reality then even back in the 80's was.

9. Man that movie disturbs me.
Right before the first blast hits Kansas, when the emergency broadcast system is going off and people are scrambling to get to a shelter, will always be stamped into my imagination. Only problem is, if this new suitcase nuke scare becomes a reality, there will be NO 'luxury' of a warning.

Another doomsday type movie that is interesting to watch is called 'One Night Stand'...It is Australian and from the early 80's, but is different than The Day After in that it focuses on a group of teenagers and how they act knowing that the world will end soon. It is hard to find, I had to go on Ebay to get it on VHS...If anyone is interested, I own it and will make a copy if you cover shipping.

4. I don't know
Do you mean that we the people aren't scared enough to do something about Bush?

Or we the people aren't scared enough (from Bush's point of view) to do whatever he says?

5. The majority of the people
are too lazy to care. If it's not shown on reality TV then they don't know or care about it.

8. I'm learning to be a proud member of...
Edited on Tue Jul-26-05 08:06 AM by Crankie Avalon
..."The Culture of Hysteria."

Corporate media and the administration it serves are helping me see that I need to be afraid--very afraid--of everyone and everything.

Thanks to them, I'm afraid of gay people marrying and being accepted into society because it will inevitably be the last straw that turns all of us gay. I'm afraid of black people who aren't Condoleeza Rice or Colin Powell. I'm afraid of my children meeting Michael Jackson and ending up in his bed when I least expect it. I'm afraid of the freedoms I've been told people around the world hate me for--PLEASE, TAKE MY FREEDOMS AWAY!!! I'm afraid of you (go ahead and say "mopaul" really loud and the sound is pretty scary...SEE WHAT I MEAN!)

I need to go away and curl up in the fetal position, now. :scared:

11. To be honest, I tend to disagree...
Bushco already has us in our place. If they wanted a draft they'd get one, if they let gas prices go up to $7/gal we'd accept it, if they started recycling people into food, well whatever.

13. Yeah the London and Egypt stuff just doesn't hit home
like a good old homeland attack. Look for a dirty bomb or someone shot dead of suspicion like in London.
