I saw a life long Democrat yesterday.
She is 81 years old.I did a service call for her and she always likes to talk a little bit.She had left a Doonsebury cartoon for me to look at.The one where bush* is apoligising for what he has done to the world.I really felt sorry for her. Her whole family are right wingers. Her oldest son had called her and told her to stop watching CNN because it is all lies.He told her she needs to be watching Fox News.He told her he could show her in the bible where it says Democrats will not go to Heaven. She just laughed because she knows her son is a nut, but it still hurts. She said after that conversation with her son, she donated $500.00 to the Democratic party.I told her she should be proud for standing up for her convictions.

3. If I were her, I'd make damned sure that malicious little fascist ....
... didn't even get stale breadcrumbs from my estate. My will would leave him exactly one dollar (so he could buy a clue) and the rest would go to the ACLU.

6. Good God, what a sad story
To think of all the years and effort you put into raising kids and then to have them turn out to be right-wing cultists. It's just sad.

7. The twit shouldn't talk like that to his mother. And he can show
me where it says in his Bibull that all Democrats will not go to Heaven.

13. I could show her son in the Bible where it says Republicans
will not go to heaven:

Matthew 25:41-46

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did not to one of the least of these, ye did not to me.

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

15. This is what terrifies me about having kids.
So many people tell me "But YOU'RE the kind of people who SHOULD be having kids because you'll teach them to be open-minded and kind." But this woman sounds very kind, very open, very intelligent. And yet she ended up with a son like that.

My child can be gay or straight, rich or poor, a punker, a banker, a candlestick maker, whatever... and I will love him or her all the same. The only thing I would have a hard time respecting is a child who is an ignorant, selfish, prejudiced neocon. That would break my heart in two.

16. No kidding. If my kids turned into freepers, I wouldn't make it
to 81! I'd shrivel up and die.

I could handle an old-fashioned conservative, or pretty much anything short of a serial killer, but not a freeper...

17. don't disown, but definately disinherit...
and let him know. Wingers who spout that kind of "Democrats aren't going to heaven" are mostly just plain greedy and are doing the Christian thing to hit the religion lottery.
