Is Bush taking them all down with him?
it is clear that he rewards loyal co-conspirators with promotions.

Between Bolton and now Gonzales, is there anyone with clean hands anywhere near Bush?

Is Bush taking down all his loyal pawns with him?

1. Only if he's going down
And I see no sign that he is or will be.

All I see is a lot of wishful thinking on the left. I engage in it sometimes, too, but still have to admit that wishful thinking is all it is. None of them is going to suffer, or at least none of the top guys. They'll leave office rich and smug.

Only the country will go down.

2. No, they are all
Culpable. In Rome, if you wanted to control someone in a position of power, you made sure to put someone there who was already a criminal and as such, would protect himself - loyalty.

Bush, no doubt, will pardon the kids. That is the plan I see evolving and my own assumption.

However, in a legal situation, can the subject of an investigation such as, for example, the President, pardon those around him in order to no longer be the subject?

3. I think his main talent is to get others to take the fall,
while he moves on to something else. Quite a trick until one of the fall guys gets wise and talks.

7. I don't see Cheney taking the fall for anyone.
He'll sacrafice the puppet first. Or Rove. Or his mother.

6. At a party I attended
over the weekend, the Rove mess became a topic of conversation. In a room of about 12 Democrats/Liberals, not one believed anyone in the Bush circle will be held accountable for the Plame outing, or anything else for that matter. What I saw was a cross section of normal left leaning Americans with no faith whatsoever in the integrity of the system. People are feeling beaten down and resigned. It's a shame. Not me, though.
