I Remember When Jane Fonda Was MAINSTREAM

Do you remember great hordes of people protesting and/or boycotting films like "9 to 5," "Coming Home," "On Golden Pond," etc??

Yes there was always the notoriety but I remember Americans actually wanting to come together and heal after that war was over, and except for the minority super-hard liners from both sides, I would say that the vast majority of Americans had had these same arguments in their own homes and they were willing listen & understand the other side.

Look how radical the radical right has gotten. The likes of G. Gordon Liddy and Ollie North are presented as some kind of heroes, and everybody freaks out about JANE FONDA??

5. Why are we STILL fighting the same crap?

I feel like I am in a time warp on everything from illegal war to women's rights. Only now we can thrown in separation of church and state, rich against middle class/poor, and gay rights.

I don't know if I can keep this up anymore. Hopefully, I have been able to educate my two daughters to the point where they can take over the reigns. Shame that in the 21st Century that we have to fight this all over again.
