Could Arnold be impeached by the California Legislature if he wins? |
|
If Arnold wins with 20% of the vote, could the California House impeach him on the charge of conspiring to overthrow Gray Davis with the help of Ken Lay and Cheney?

2. He WILL be recalled regardless |
|
Impeachment would likely not be an option since the courts sanctioned this parade of horribles and there is no evidence of a crime which is necessary for impeachment proceedings according to our state constitution.
HE WILL BE RECALLED THOUGH..MARK MY WORDS..we already have a vehicle in place to accomplish this and will.
California Dems are NOT national Dems...we KNOW how to fight.

4. I'm a California Dem(long time, since 1962) |

and I don't think Ahnold will be recalled. If Dems were to get somebody to pony up the 2 mil, there just wouldn't be enough sigs. If Davis is recalled, the poor, the disadvantaged, people of color, even the middle class have themselves to blame. There are a lot more Dems in this state than Repukes, but come October 7th, the repukes will go to the polls in droves. The Dems can't be bothered. They will stay away in droves. The pursuit of perfect drives out the good. Too many Dems will only accept the perfect. Look at the Dems that deserted Gore in 2000 to vote for Nader. Clinton gets trashed alot in these boards because he wasn't pure enough left. Never mind the good work he did, he didn't do enough, so fuck 'em. A couple of weeks ago, Gray Davis made fun of how Ahnold pronounces Kallifornia. Some left leaning bloggers went apeshit, screaming BIGOT, BIGOT! Jesus god damn christ! I have been a Democrat in spirit since 1948, when I witnessed the miracle of "Dewey beats Truman." I have been a voting Democrat since 1962. I am very depressed about the future right now. I know in my bones Davis will be recalled, and that shithead actor will be the next governor. Its too god damn hard to be a Democrat. Too many asses to kiss. It ain't enough to win, you got to be perfect.

The leadership of the Democratic legislature should approach "governor" Swartzenegger and tell him, "Look we have no idea who you are, how you got here and what you believe on the issues, but we consider you to be illegitimate. We refuse to do business with you. We will shun you. You're not our governor." He won't be able to get a damn thing done if the legislature stays united against him. Hopefully there aren't any John Quitmires in the CA legislature. Then they can work on the Recall movement and have him bounced out of office by next November.
