Sold the downtown condo in Greenville, SC (pending, as they say).
We made an offer today on this house:

We will probably do a timber-frame garage and apartment. I need this project. The house is near perfect .. but funky, funky house. Looking for the history now. There are a couple of Frank Loyd Wrights in Greenville. A few fakes too. This house is not a FLW, but it has the same character.

2. While you are remodeling...

...consider leaving the electrical grid, too. A garage makes a good support platform for thermal panels.

5. Met with the engineers today!
Looking at passive solar. More for the mountain house with its direct southern exposure. We discussed tankless gas water heaters today.

3. Gorgeous.
Just out of curiosity, what does something like that go for and where is it located?

4. Awesome!!!!
First off, congratulations on selling your condo! No more open houses and you don't have to keep the place immaculate anymore! :)

Secondly, the house you put an offer on--rocks! That house has such character. Are the top two pics the front of the house? It looks so interesting. The house, the grounds...the brick...all very cool.

The inside has so much character. Love the columns and the hardwood floors. Very nice.

We move into our new home on Monday--so I understand and share your excitement! We fell in love with our new home (and purchased it) before we even had a "For Sale" sign in front of ours. It's been a crazy couple of months.

Good luck with EVERYTHING!!
