Finally, after months of waiting, my |
|
letter to the editor was published. Actually, I forgot that I even wrote it.
Good investment (their byline)
According to Vice President Dick Cheney's 2004 tax return, he earned $194,852 in deferred compensation from Haliburton.
Looking at the billions of our tax dollars being thrown at Haliburton, it seems that the $194,852 was a good investment on Haliburton's part.
----------------------------- I was implying that Cheney is still on Halliburton's payroll, and is rewarding them with our tax dollars.
If you want to use these numbers in a letter to the editor please do.
Who is Cheney working for, us or Halliburton? The office of Vice president gets over 200 thousand a year. That pay is static, but the halliburton pay can change with the value of the stock. So it makes sense for Cheney to put more effort into helping Halliburton than in helping us.

Didn't Cheney make a godawful amount of money at Haliburton prior to "resigning" to run for VP? (Recall that he got selected as CEO even though he had little or no private sector experience) I'm sure that was with a wink wink, nod nod as well.

4. does that include the ~443,300 shares he got when he left Halliburton..or |
|
is that separate.. and not counted because it is being held i a special account till he is no longer president..
Because.. if he made even a dollar on each share ...it is more than revealed

5. Cheney works for Cheney - no one else. His options are in the millions. |
|
And I'm sure there is tons more we have no idea about.
Cheney is the dirtiest, most consciousless politician I have ever seen, and that is saying something.

6. We need to point that out to the public. Bush is losing support, |
|
and we need to make sure people know that Cheney would not be a suitable alternative if and when bush is impeached.
