Should any congressional staffers stumble upon this post... |
|
Please tell your bosses that a letter or email from me does not constitute a request to be added to their fundraising list. The response to my snail mail plea for due diligence on the fixing of intelligence to justify the invasion of Iraq has been met with a forest of downed trees in requests for campaign contributions.
I do appreciate the warning from most senators and representatives that correspondence from outside of a constituency is likely to go unanswered but it would probably be prudent to preclude campaign solicitations as well.
I note the exceptions of Rep. John Conyers and Sen. Harry Reid. To date neither one of them has sent me fundraising materials. If it stays that way I may actually send you something.
Regards.

1. And when I leave my post office box, I leave two thirds of my mail |
|
in their receptacle, much of it being fundraising materials. :)

2. Wait! Before you toss it out, look for those postage paid envelopes! |
|
If you get those ;) from pols you do not like, use them to send the junk back and they have to pay. Or, send them bumperstickers that speak for you. Or sent them the enclosures from some other pol's fundraising propaganda! (Tear off any pary with your name & address first.) You could make it into a costly circle {for} jerks if you think about it :D
