My husband is my property and you'd better not borrow him |
|
After all, I married him, he married me, and that is sancrosect beyond any need of any of you for absolutely anything. He is mine mine mine. All his time is mine and I'll only loan him out if the payback is great enough. So don't even ask. Mine. Especially not you man haters that haven't even got the gonads enough to marry one of your own and want to use mine. No way. Mine.

5. don't ya ever get tired of him? |
|
honestly - i kept a tight leash on my ex, mainly because i didn't trust him (with good reason).
when we finally broke all the way up - i felt so relieved. and free.
i hadn't realized just how much he got on my nerves.

9. Yes, but putting up with farting and wet towels on the floor is worth it |
|
in case I ever need to move a couch or something. After all, it is nice to have a heavy thing mover around, just in case. That way none of my girlfriends feel put out if I would have to borrow their husband to move my couch. (still:sarcasm:) Otherwise it would be nice to be able to be alone and free.

fetch his slippers. After all, he does work hard and deserves it. My job is just for fun and extra spending money. nice of you to ask.(still:sarcasm:)

and this is crap added to crap. How well I remember when GD was for grown-up political talk! *sigh*
Now we have attention-deprived posters who think the world is their lounge. Bummer.

I think you missed what this is in response to. You don't need to respond to any message, or even click on it, and thanks for monitoring GD.

Now now, respond nicely if you want to. If you don't want to respond, just don't. Please follow DU rules in responding non-nastily. Thank you.

15. I am thinking of starting up "Rent a Husband" for women who need a |
|
little handyman help around the house but are not married for whatever reason.
I can handle tools but not every woman can, so here's a chance to make some money and create some jobs.
What do you think, I think there is a future in this.

21. I think it's a great idea. |
|
Especially being a woman, I think women trust other women more than they might trust any random handyman type.
I *adore* my handyman. He rocks infinitely. But it is hard to find a reliable guy that you feel you can trust.

25. They're called a Handyman |
|
and they're a Jack of All Trades. Good for plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, you name it. But they're not cheap--usually a set price per project.
As for the Leave My Husband Alone brigade, I always say, if you think you can put up with his crap for the 20+ years we've been married, give it your best shot. Husband's the same way--not a jealous bone in his body. At this point, we both figure it would be too much trouble to break in someone new! He does all the laundry and cleans the bathroom, I do all the yardwork and cooking. A co-op situation can be pretty handy among friends. My husband may work on someone's computer for them, and their husband may assist with plumbing issues. Everybody wins.
