Voting for a potential cabinet member
isn't the same as praising them after they get the job. While I don't agree that Clark should be criticised for what he said at the fundraiser in Little Rock, I don't think it is the same as voting for these people in the first place. Presidents generally get their cabinet choices barring corruption or severe personal problems. Of all the people Clinton nominated for his cabinent only two AG nominees were defeated (both for nanny problems). He got the rest. Bush lost his labor secretery due to her problems hiring illegals. I don't care that Clark praised the people he praised in 01. But it is different to look at their job and say well done than it is to apply a standard that basiclly is the President gets his person if the person isn't corrupt. Clark did the second, the Senate did the first.
