It occured to me last night, |
|
when hearing again that those of us that don't support the President aren't patriotic, how does that relate to the last President? Does that mean that for 8 years under Clinton all those Repuges were not patriots?

2. Clinton was "disrespectful" to the office of President... |
|
Or so the story goes. Ergo, since he made himself unworthy of the title of President, he made himself unworthy of the patriotism afforded to a Man Of God pledged to restore dignity to the Presidency.
Of course, that doesn't explain why "patriots" support a lying, murderous asshole, but...

I'm so sick of patriotic Americans who don't want this war being smeared as unpatriotic.
Probably a typical conversation to expect:
Rep: "Yeah, but Clinton lied under oath..."
Dem: "And Bush's out-and-out lie about Iraq caused unnecessary deaths of thousands of AMERICAN sericemen & women..."
Rep: "But...ruthless dictatur...democracy..."
Dem: "And we're all better off, how?
The only thing they could be left with is to somehow characterize the Clinton presidency as illegitimate. As if...
BTW, there are recent threads on this board containing past quotes from GOPers about Kosovo.
They want to have it both ways, because that's the way this dministration wants it. Let's see if this isn't at least a good "talking point."
Edited to make more sense,

4. I don't know, poster #2 has a point |
|
but then again, what Clinton did wasn't disrespectful of the office to me, I half expect every powerful person see's that as a perk. Like Rock Stars....and the personal side, isn't for me to judge...
But, ** to me, is the one that was disrespectful of the office, in the abuse of power to harm each and every citizen of the United States...and I feel he's been very disrespectful to the human race.
