Okay, I have a mini rant here |
|
They (Congress) are considering making the TASER available to the public, (no to pepper spray and mace - but yes to this?) anyway...I can see it as useful to rapist, that don't use lethal force since they don't like raping corpses, or robbers who don't want the charge of manslaugher or murder in the process of a felony...so when these do get used by the bad guys, since the cops consider TASER safe, will it then follow that it is not considered a weapon, since it's safe? I think you can see where I'm going with this....Home invasions, rapes, muggings, robberies, car jackings, on and on....sure makes the bad guys lives easier.....

But maybe not. Plenty of guns yet the child abuction trend couple years ago only had one case that the guy used a gun, rest had knives. If women and others are concerned, try to convince COngress we have enough weapons. If they do pass it, I doubt a taser could handle a Glock. Go, women!

3. Intent determines whether it's a weapon or not, not form. |
|
If you use a brick to assault somebody, the brick is legally considered to be a weapon.
Tasers used to assault people would be weapons.
