Has anybody done the math? Is it conceivable to take back
both houses in '06?? I'm watching the debate on malpractice lawsuits and insurance costs. These morons are ruining the whole f'ing country! We can't take much more.

1. I think we might be able to do the Senate, but I'm not so sure about
the House.

RIght now:

Senate: 55 Pubs 44 Dems 1 Ind

House: 231 Pubs 202 Dems 1 Ind 1 Vacancy

Now, I think it's possible to get 7 Senate seats, but it's going to be very difficult.

We stand a good shot at Santorum of Pa. Casey is beating him in the polls, at least for now, and Casey is very popular in Pa.

Frist is retiring, but he's from TN, and it's going to be a difficult battle to win there.

Sanders is leaving the House to run for Senate, and he'll probably win.

Those are the ones that come to my mind right now. I think it's possible to find 3 more.

Is it realistic to think we can get 16 House seats? I don't know. I suspect SOMETHING is going to happen in the DeLay case by election time, so that one could be a gimme. There are sooo many districts, I can't follow who's up and who's down. But 16 seats is a big hurdle!

4. Every House seat is being contested, so why not?
Every Democratic candidate should go from door to door and state quite boldly, "The first thing I intend to do when I go to Washington is see to it that the President is impeached and removed from office." Betcha you'll get a whole shitload of people voting who wouldn't have thought of voting before, and that there are a lot more of the disaffected in society who hate Spurious George than like him. The Bush fans are already voting, and I don't think the Republicans can go to the well anymore and come back quenched as often as the Democrats can. You need 435 firebrands to do this, and no milquetoasts!

3. Thank you very much. I hope there's a good strategy
and we can slow this craziness down. It has become totally insane
