1. And yet, the majority will return their sitting congresscritter. . .
Edited on Thu Jul-28-05 05:20 PM by Journeyman
too many rationalize that all of congress is filled with nitwits and nincompoops but their congresscritter somehow escapes the herd and is 'doing quite well -- all things considered.'

On edit: I sincerely hope next cycle sees at least a marginal change in this attitude, with the Republicans -- the 'party in charge' -- taking the brunt of the peoples' anger.

6. Or Diebold will do it for them.
Some people will never wake up, but the GOP can't control everything with support from just the sleep-walking pukes. They need votes from independents, and if polls are to be believed, they do seem to be waking up. Unfortunately, if Diebold is still counting the votes in 2006, I'll be shocked if we take back either chamber.

14. no, mine represent corporate america ...
... the military-industrial complex ...

... to name only a few ...

... United Technologies, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Boeing, Johnson & Johnson, Metropolitan Life Insurance, Genentech ... a PAC organization from another state ... a couple of generals: General Electric and General Dynamics ...

I've noticed that some of our Hill members receive contributions from companies not even headquartered in the USA, i.e., Accenture (which is doing quite well re Federal contracts)
