Of course, he died of old age in a morphine induced nirvana...

But by this time, we're catering to China and eating roots three meals a day.

... and some of his more wigged-out supporters would still figure out a way to conflate his story with that of JFK and Elvis, with a touch of Reagan thrown in (gotta have that) -- and in a thousand years, we'd be looking at a weird new religion with him as a martyr figure. (They seem to like that more than the alternative possibility, a quasi-Buddha who bestows calm and enlightenment on everybody ... as they make him out to be in that "DC 9/11" movie.)
