If there are roughly the same number of Democrats |
|
as Republicans in this country, why do the Repubs control it all?

4. because republicans are easily riled up to vote |
|
look at how gay marriage got Bush the election, and how blacks got Nixon in 1968. Democrats and liberals want reasons to vote, candidates to earn their support, etc. Just saying "i'm not a Republican" isn't enough for a lot of democrats. Saying "I'm not a democrat/liberal" is enough for many republicans.

And the Democrats in the Congress represent many more people than the Republicans do. Go figure.

I believe you are thinking of the Senate, because each member of congress represents the same number of people.

9. You don't have to be a Republican to control other human beings |
|
Edited on Fri Jul-29-05 07:34 PM by Selatius
You just have to control the resources people need to survive. To own is to control. With that control, you can, for instance, charge people a fee for earning the privilege (not the right) to have access to what YOU OWN. Retire rich and comfortable. Screw everyone else. You've got your slice of the pie. Oh wait, you don't have to be a member of the Republican party or even the Democratic Party to be greedy and soulless.
Greed: It's the American way.

13. I can't speak about any election before 2004, but... |
|
Edited on Fri Jul-29-05 07:45 PM by I Have A Dream
I worked with MoveOn.org in Pennsylvania to contact the Democrats in my voting precinct, and probably about 10% of the Democrats said that they were voting for Bush. It was just so sad to know that they were voting against their interests and had fallen for the propaganda. It almost seemed as though they had to find a reason to vote for Kerry rather than the other way around -- their inclination was to vote for Bush.
This pushed me to work even harder to find those Democrats who were able to see the truth.

15. Because they lie and steal to get whatever they can, more than the Dems. |
|
That's what they've been doing for the past several decades. They have no morality, no remorse , no respect or love for this country. They hide behind phony religion and family values and do whatever it takes to pillage more.

16. For a Repug to announce that they are considering |
|
voting for a Dem is tantamount to saying...I'm no longer a Repug. Oh the shame and guilt. No good Repug would ever, ever give the slightest thought to voting for a Dem. But for Dems to cross over and vote for a slime ball it doesn't carry the same stigma (Reagan Dems etc.)Like my mother in law....I'm a life long registered Democrat (Baltimore). Problem is that she has never voted for a Democrat.
