I love Keith Olbermann but
he needs a new glasses prescription. He said Bush didn't raise his middle finger to the press. It was DEFINITELY the middle finger, look at the position of the fist.

3. Too bad that wasn't a 't' at the end of your subject line.
That would've been a nice giggle to have.

6. I don't need glasses and I saw Bush twist his wrist and give a
thumbs up. Sorry. I stood there, next to the TV and watched it the whole time. Bush has some skinny and long fingers, including the afore-mentioned thumb.
I'm not putting it BY Shrubbie to be so arrogant, but I don't think he flipped us a bird, THIS TIME.

That said, Keith does have problems with his eyes. He has no depth perception as the result of hitting his head on a subway train. :)

7. When I saw the video clip, it really looked like his thumb.
And I'm not saying this because I like Keith!:-)

8. Who cares?
Seriously, Bush has been f'king this whole nation (save his friends and family) in the *ss for the past five years. Who CARES what digit he extended? Seriously. We've got enough footage of him flipping the bird, he and his brother, what would one more or less matter? He's a crass, arrogant, lowbrowed, incurious, partisan, traitorous son of a bitch.

10. It's his thumb
But it would be a good time to pull out some of those other middle finger shots. Unfortunately, we don't know how to open gifts, only kick them around until they're in pieces.

11. Jeez, people...
To me it looked like his thumb.

I can't believe so many people appear to have so much invested in the idea that it's his middle finger. Who really cares, when he's been giving the country the finger for years?

As for me, I love Keith Olbermann...no ifs, ands or buts. And technically, his depth perception is only impaired when he's traveling over 15 mph (which is why he doesn't drive). So I do think his opinion counts for a teensy bit of weight on this one. He doesn't read things into what he sees based on personal opinion, so his opinion is probably more to be trusted than most.

Come on, there's more serious reasons to be angry at the Shrub than this one. If the worst thing he ever did was give the finger, we'd all be in clover.

13. On the still shot it looks like it could be the finger but
when you see the tape it definately is a thumb. And all the press in attendance say it was a thumb. Maybe some of them would lie but not all of them.

It was his THUMB, not a finger.
