OK for Bush to hire SS impersonators?
Evidently: (From Rocky Mountain News)

No charges in Denver 3 ouster

http://www.rockymountainnews.com/drmn/news/article/0,1299,DRMN_3_3963679,00.html

Federal prosecutors have declined to press charges of impersonating a Secret Service agent against a White House volunteer who forcibly ousted three people from a speech by President George W. Bush in Denver on March 21.

The announcement was made without explanation today in a letter from the Secret Service to Colorado Sen. Ken Salazar and Reps. Mark Udall and Diana DeGette, all Democrats who had asked for the agency to investigate the incident.

I think this practice got deeper coverage right around the time of W's 1st inauguration. I remember seeing reports that he had hired private security for that event (Who needs private security when they have the Secret Service at their disposal? Somebody who really wants professional goons that don't mind using a little "political muscle" - that's who.)

I also found suspicious all those reports of legitimate protests being moved "around the corner" or "down the street" during Bush campaign events. It seems to me that this is part of the Bush Junta's standard method of dealing with those who find the president objectionable to any large degree.

I think there's yet another big story here - impersonating a federal officer - that would be another federal crime, No?
