Savage says, "bush has spent the last penny of his political capital"
"on this CAFTA deal. On this the democrats are 100% right and the republicans are 100% wrong. After this bush will never be able to pass anything else of any major importance. He handed out so much pork to make republican congressmen vote for what they knew was wrong." Then he said something about someone (bush I think, but I kind of missed it) speaking in front of textile workers in North Carolina who were going to be put out of business by this and had the audacity to try and sell the deal to them. But then they're going to go out and vote for another republican that will sell them out again.

Can we get a few more of these talking heads to tell it like it is?

1. Hang on...Michael Savage said THAT?
I disagree with him, though...if Bush can pull that piece of shit through Congress, he can get anything he wants through.

"the greed of these factory owners is beyond what normal people can comprehend. . . . . . The questions is how many G4s do these pigs need? How many homes in Aspen do these pigs need? How many apartments in Zurich do these pigs need? How can my government allow this?"

19. You're fucking kidding me.
HE is saying that?????? Michael Savage? Am I reading this right?

Sounds like someone knocked some fucking sense into his head. Will wonders never cease?

I don't trust the fucker though. What he says is absolutely right, but why the hell would someone like him care about factory workers? No one in his party seems to...

He's from the nativist wing of that party. He'd probably like to close the border and end trade entirely and have no contact of any kind with people from Central America.

I oppose CAFTA also, but not because I'm a xenophobe like him.

13. It is for the money, he sees green by taking stances
away from the party status quo. He is reaching out to some of the disgruntled base.

22. People with more money then Savage decide whether or not he keeps his job.
As all talking heads in the corporate media, Savage is just following orders.
It's just that the orders have changed.

Bush may have more tricks and lies up his sleeve, but without support from the MSM (without support from people like Savage) it's going to be a lot harder to sell the lies to the people.

It has been rumored that behind the scenes there's a war on between the neocons and the corporate establishment (big oil in particular), because the establishment is not happy with the way things are turning out (iraq's oil specifically).

Which doesn't mean the corporate establishment is our friend now. It's rather like in the movie "Alien versus Predator"; they are each others enemies and both of them are our enemies, we're merely the cattle caught in the middle.

16. Yeah, Michael Savage
I agree with about 10% maybe 20% of what he says, but on that 10% he couldn't be more right.

and the way he attacks about 80% of his callers is just hilarious!

like it is. :puke:

This man and Ann Coulter should get together and make babies. Except they would have a problem figuring which tab A to put into tab B.

What I think it is, my friends, is the first shattering and break up of the the cabal. They are not in LOCK STEP anymore.

Frist is now for STEM CELL RESEARCH funded by the government!?

They didn't like the emminent domain decision. Blamed it on "liburals" and found out that liberals were just as pissed off as they were.

We by and large don't like CAFTA and open boarders. DUH!

Yep, they're just finding out that the BUSCO's have not only sold them out, but are raping them in the process.

This "something" that us "stupid" libs have know for years.

OK, more ...

being able to find a truffle once a while???

Nah, he just doesn't want any business or wealth going to brown people south o' the border. His motivation on this particular issue is nativism and/or racism and/or xenophobia.
