Madrassa foreigners must leave

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Rawalpindi, Pakistan: Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf says all foreign students at madrassas, or religious schools, some 1,400 pupils, must leave the country.

“Any (foreigners) in the madrassas — even dual nationality holders — will leave Pakistan,” General Musharraf said.

1. prepping for war? seems like lots of foreigner ejections lately
Pulling out of bases in Germany and Uzbekistan, Pakistan kicking out foreigners, etc.

I guess the bombs are coming soon.

3. It doesn't seem that simple...
I'm too tired to extrapolate or speculate... but it seems to have more political merit than panic factor.

2. A Good Step, Ma'am
A great many of them need to be shut down, but that would be a damned tricky exercise. Gen. Musharraf manouvers on a knife's edge already.

4. This is an interesting aspect...
"...foreign students at madrassas, or religious schools, some 1,400 pupils, must leave the country ..."

"It is estimated that there are around 20,000 madrassas in Pakistan.
According to the Pakistani newspaper, The News, there are around 1.7 million students at the institutions ..."

Isn't home grown terror just as likely as any that may be "influenced" by foreign students?
